Estevez Awarded David L. Boren Fellowship

Glorimar Estevez, Master's student in the Bilingual ESL & Multicultural Education program, has been awarded the National Security Education Program's 2021 David L. Boren Fellowship. Esteves will participate in the American Council African Flagship Languages Initiative (AFLI) virtual summer program at the University of Florida as well as the official overseas fall AFLI program in Tanzania. Theresa Austin, her advisor, commented that "Ms. Esteves is a high achieving student whose commitment to social justice and BIPOC communities is evident in her leadership in schools and our LLC community."
