Dr. Torrey Trust delivered the speech, “AI and the Future of Higher Education,” at the annual Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) Conference in Seattle, Washington at the end of November.

This year’s conference theme was “Student Centered : Data Informed” offering workshops, training sessions, and keynote and plenary presentations delivered by diverse speakers from member institutions.

Presenters at the conference spoke on unique data-informed approaches and solutions for promoting student success in response to the ever-changing learning environment. Speakers addressed generative artificial intelligence, the current post-election landscape for higher education, and more. 

The NWCCU is a Washington State nonprofit corporation working to provide accreditation for higher education institutions by applying data and evidence-informed standards to “support continuous improvements and promote equitable student achievement and success.”
