Education Club
Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for aspiring educators to connect with one another and the greater community.

Education Club collaborates with UMass Amherst professors and faculty members, as well as other experts in the field of education, to engage in and discuss important educational issues and topics. We are engaged with local schools and communities and provide opportunities for our members to work directly in educational settings and gain experience planning and facilitating learning activities. Our club enhances our ability to effectively, creatively, and collaboratively work in the field of education.
We meet weekly during the semester on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in Furcolo Hall. Our first club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14 at 7:00 pm. Join our mailing list to get weekly updates on meetings and activities! You can contact us at umasseducclub [at] gmail [dot] com (umasseducclub[at]gmail[dot]com)
Remember to follow us on Instagram and Facebook, too!
During the Semester, the club welcomes numerous guest speakers to discuss education, including Education professors, Ed Club alumni, and current teachers in the local communities. The club provides opportunities for students to volunteer in our local community. Each semester the club hosts a major event that can range from a book, school supply, or food drive, or our yearly event College of Kids.

College of Kids is our annual event where the club hosts kids from local communities for a day in the life of a college student including play-based activities in a variety of academic subjects. It is a great way to learn to create a lesson plan and teach it all while giving back to the community.
As a club, we have monthly group dinners at one of the dining halls and go on group bonding adventures which includes, hikes, hayrides, mini golf, ice skating, and more!
