Nia Movement Practice
Content
Staff, undergraduate and graduate students, and faculty are welcome to join this non-impact practice based on the idea that through movement we can find health and community. It combines practices and philosophies from martial arts, dance arts, yoga, and other healing arts.
Nia is practiced barefoot in a group and set to diverse music from around the world. It is non-impact and adaptable to all individual needs and abilities. Participants wear loose-fitting clothes. Alice Heller, an experienced instructor, will demonstrate and accommodate all intensity levels. All are welcome to participate in these FREE classes. Join us for one or all 10 classes during Fall 2026.
