Parking & Security
Parking
Accept heavy traffic for the Undergraduate Commencement. Please allow plenty of time to arrive on campus, park and make your way to the Stadium. To facilitate moving around campus, shuttles will be available on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Several roads will be partially closed or limited to one-directional traffic. Please allow for additional time to navigate campus. Police will direct traffic and parking on campus. Parking starts at lots closest to the ceremony and moves further away as they fill up. Parking is free for the weekend.
Accessible Parking:
Guests attending the undergraduate ceremony at McGuirk Alumni Stadium on Friday, May 15, can register to receive a parking pass for Lot 11 on Stadium Drive, the accessible lot closest to the stadium. Passes will be emailed on a rolling basis beginning April 6. Please register by 5 p.m. on May 13 to allow time for processing.
Accessible parking passes are not required or issued for May 9, May 16, or May 17. All other venues have accessible parking near the building, and accessible parking is available throughout the campus.
Physical Accessibility Accommodations
McGuirk Alumni Stadium
Portal 20 (the northeastern most portal of the stadium) provides full access to restrooms and accessible guest seating on the field. Guests can, of course, choose to sit in the stands. There are ramps to the stadium stands at the southern end of the stadium. The first row of the stands is available from those ramps. All other seats in the stands are only accessible via stairs.
- Accessible seating is available for guests and graduates on the stadium field; however, it is in the open sun. Guests should take appropriate precautions related to the weather. Guests sitting in the stands and in the accessible area on the field may want to bring sunscreen and visors/hats for sun protection.
- The pathway from the Lot 11 Graduate Assembly Area to the stadium field and student seating (for processional/march) is an even-grade, paved surface and accessible by wheelchair.
- Note that portions of the stadium grounds on the east side (for guests) and west side (for graduates) are covered in gravel and may be difficult for a wheelchair to traverse. However, the paved sections, concrete sidewalks, and installed floor provide accessible pathways to most of the stadium.

Security:
All guests will be required to walk through security when entering the stadium. To expedite the process, we ask guests and graduates to remove cell phones from their pockets. Small purses and diaper bags are allowed but will be inspected at all entrances. Outside food or beverages, weapons of any kind, and tobacco products are not permitted inside the stadium.
There is a designated security checkpoint and entrance for guests with mobility challenges. Commencement ambassadors will be present to assist with directing guests to the accessible entrance
