Personalized advising support for students majoring or minoring in Education and for students who haven't yet declared a major.

The College of Education offers many pathways for undergraduate students to pursue a future in education, teaching, training, and social change. Gain the knowledge necessary to guide people of all ages through learning new skills and changing perspectives. Some pathways also lead to eligibility for licenses that are required to teach in public schools.

We will help you explore your interests, choose a curriculum that works for you, articulate your goals as a community or classroom educator, and engage your community.

Advising for your major

Once you declare your major, meet with your academic advisor regularly. Your advisor helps you plan the courses that fulfill your major requirements while meeting your interests and goals. They also guide you toward research and other opportunities that complement your studies.

Advising for your license

Many teaching roles require a license in addition to a degree. Many of our pathways lead to an initial license to teach in PreK–2nd grade classrooms (Early Childhood Education) and middle and high schools (University to Schools), and to support students of all abilities (Special Education).
