The TLCS is a self-designed research degree (PhD or EdS) that prepares scholars for careers as faculty members, teacher leaders, and education researchers.

The TLCS program offers opportunities for students to build cross-disciplinary research and practices related to teacher education, children, young people and adult learning in and out of schools, child and family studies, STEM education, and curriculum studies. We are deeply committed to scholarship that relies on both basic and applied research, to pursuing rigorous theory building about educational phenomena, and to developing principled approaches to shaping educational practice.
