About
Rebecca Woodland is professor of educational policy, leadership and evaluation in the Department of Educational Policy, Research and Administration and leads the Program Evaluation Graduate Certificate program.
A former secondary school teacher in Massachusetts and Colorado, she received her B.A. in political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, her M.A. in special education from the University of Northern Colorado, and the Ph.D in educational leadership from Colorado State University. She leads evaluation and research projects that entail quantitative, qualitative, and network analysis methodologies, and currently serves as PI for, an NSF sponsored Research-Practice Partnership to advance culturally responsive, socially just computer-science curriculum. Dr. Woodland serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Evaluation, Evaluation and Program Planning, the SAGE Encyclopedia of Research Design, and SAGE Encyclopedia of Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation, and is a member of the INSciTS Board of Directors, which leads the International Network for the Science of Team Science. Dr. Woodland was awarded the prestigious Marcia Guttentag award for excellence in evaluation by the American Evaluation Association
