Amanda Hernandez

Amanda Hernandez, Ed.S, is a Clinical Lecturer in the School Counselor Education Program, where she first embarked on her school counseling journey as a student, graduating in 2018. She holds associate, undergraduate, and graduate degrees from Hudson Valley Community College, Smith College, and UMass Amherst, respectively.

With six years of dedicated service as a school counselor and school adjustment counselor in the West Springfield Public Schools, Amanda combines extensive experience with a deep commitment to student well-being. Her career began in early childhood, elementary, and middle school education, including specialized teaching roles at a school for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Amanda's professional path reflects a steadfast dedication to supporting disadvantaged populations, advocating for equitable access to resources, and fostering inclusive environments for all students.
