The UMass Amherst College of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers master's programs designed to support your graduate school experience, allowing you to create a clear path toward your interests and career goals. As a master's student, you will receive guidance from advisors and faculty, as well as real-world experience in the form of internships and research opportunities. The SBS master's programs are flexible, allowing working professionals to attend part-time. Because we encourage non-traditional students to apply, GRE scores are not required for admittance.

Political Science (MA)
As a student in the Master of Arts in Political Science program, you will engage in the cross-disciplinary exploration of political inquiry, including U.S. politics, international relations, political theory, and more, while developing skills to prepare for a politically-based career.
Data Analytics & Computational Social Science (MS)
The Master of Science in Data Analytics and Computational Social Science program provides intensive training in advanced data science skills while exploring the underlying social, political, and economic processes behind the data. This program is offered both in-person and online.
