The 4+1 Accelerated MS in Resource Economics is geared toward exceptional undergraduate students interested in earning credit toward a graduate degree during their senior year. The Master's program prepares students for careers in marketing, resource-based industries such as electric utilities and petroleum, government environmental policy positions, and economic consulting. 

The Department of Resource Economics provides state-of-the-art training in empirical microeconomics and applied econometrics, producing outstanding research and industry leaders in four fields of concentration: 

  • Environmental and Natural Resource Economics
  • Empirical Industrial Organization
  • Experimental and Behavioral Economics
  • Health Economics

The 4+1 Accelerated MS program requires 120 undergraduate credits, plus thirty master's level credits. Undergraduates are advised to complete nine graduate-level credits while taking their undergraduate senior year. Those interested in the program should contact their academic advisor and the graduate program director during their junior year to ensure all requirements are met for application and entry into the program.
