HFA Senior Recognition Ceremony and University Commencement

Let’s celebrate you!

Join us for this year's College of Humanities & Fine Arts (HFA) Senior Recognition Ceremony, held on Sunday, May 19, at 10 a.m. in the Recreation Center, to celebrate graduating seniors and their guests. 

During this event, HFA graduates will have their names announced as they walk across the stage and receive special commemorative medals from the College’s leaders. Professional photographers will capture the moment with a photo of the student and their department chair. There is also an opportunity for students to have their individual photos taken. 

This ceremony is held in addition to University Commencement, which is the university's large, campus-wide graduation ceremony at McGuirk Stadium.

HFA Photo Tribute

To honor the HFA Class of 2024, our ceremony will include a photo tribute to its graduating seniors. Send us a photo of yourself at work, at play, or around the UMass Amherst campus and we’ll feature it in the tribute! All graduating seniors are invited to submit their photo by Friday, May 10, 2024.
