The event, Pizza and Prof: A talk by Assistant Professor of History Matthew Wormer on "The Opium Wars to the Opioid Crisis: Drugs and Capitalism in Global History," will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Herter Hall 601.
The Humanities of Health and Well Being area of study is both a longstanding and an emerging field at UMass, being addressed across several fronts. Four certificate programs provide interdisciplinary opportunities to become well-versed in the multitude of ways humanities disciplines intersect and align with health and well-being.
