Sophie Shapiro ’23

I have plans to start my Honors Thesis in the next year on the topic of student awareness of climate change. I hope to utilize self-obtained polling data regarding student ideas and opinions about the climate crisis in order to develop strategies to get students involved in plans to mitigate carbon emissions, air and water pollution, habitat destruction, and more. After graduating, I hope to attend graduate school with a focus on wildlife conservation and national parks upkeep, and, eventually, work for a national park-adjacent nonprofit.
