Studied abroad in Oxford, England at Keble College during Summer of 2023.

I studied abroad in Oxford, England as part of a summer faculty-led program affiliated with UMass. It was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I took courses–Oxford as a Work of Art, British Detective Fiction; and British Practicum– with professors who were deeply passionate about the city of Oxford and its historical traditions. A highlight of this program was dining in the beautiful hall of Keble College, a cherished tradition at Oxford University amongst my professors.

The objective of my Honors Thesis is to provide a cultural and historical overview of abortion policy documentation over the last 130 years. I am analyzing the moral values of each state to uncover the foundational elements that influence abortion policy legislation both prior to and following Roe v. Wade. This research allows me to combine my passions for psychology and anthropology, while also preparing me for graduate studies. My professional goal is to obtain a Master’s in Social Work and become a licensed psychotherapist. After gaining experience in the field, I plan to pursue a doctorate to conduct my own research, similar to the work I am doing for my Honors Thesis.
