Join the Honors College Communications Team!

The Communications unit of Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) is seeking applications for several part-time (5 - 10 hours/week) photographer positions  to join our team of students working on communications and marketing for the college. New hires will be in training during the spring, to fully take over the role during the 2025-2026 academic year.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is energetic and creative, with an excellent ability to follow directions and work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Shoot photos, including event photography and portraits
  • Edit and color correct photos
  • Shoot video clips for use on social media
  • Edit videos
     

Qualifications:

  • Intuitive sense of storytelling using visuals. We are looking to tell dynamic and engaging stories about the college through photos and videos
  • Experience with photographing events with large groups of people, as well as individual portraits is preferred
  • Experience editing and color correcting photos
  • Experience in video editing preferred, but we will train the right candidate
  • Ability to work remotely using personal computer and photography equipment
  • Applicants do not have to be members of Commonwealth Honors College.

This position pays $16.50/hour.
