Join the Honors College Communications Team!

Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) is seeking one student for a part-time communications assistant position (5-10 hours/week) during Spring 2026. The successful candidate will join our student team responsible for communications and marketing for the college. This role includes training during the spring semester, with the expectation of fully taking over responsibilities in the 2026-2027 academic year.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong record of meeting deadlines, following directions, and working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate, edit, and publish regular content for use on social media (original text, images, or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages CHC community members to take action

Qualifications:

  • Intuitive sense of storytelling and messaging. We are looking to create written pieces, graphics, and social media content that are engaging, fun, and informative to our audience of current and prospective undergraduate students
  • Great written communication skills; including writing copy, editing, and a strong ability to proofread
  • Experience with graphic design using apps like Canva, Lightroom, and Photoshop preferred but not required
  • Social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Ability to work remotely using personal computer

This position pays $16.50/hour.
