Social Justice Education Graduate Certificate in Teaching for Diversity – Online Course of Study
Course of Study
To complete the SJE graduate certificate, students take five courses, including four foundational courses and a practicum that is the last class for the certificate.
- EDUC 691E – Confronting Oppression in Education, 3 credits
- EDUC 648 – Historical & Pedagogical Foundations of Social Justice Education, 3 credits
- EDUC 678A: Curriculum Design for Social Justice Education, 3 credits
- EDUC 678B – Teaching and Facilitation for Social Justice Education, 3 credits
- EDUC 691G – Practicum: Reflective Practice, 3 credits

**These two courses require that you are in the Social Justice Education Graduate Certificate program. You will need to have applied and have been accepted to take EDUC 678A or EDUC 678B.
