Early Grade Reading in Developing Countries Graduate Certificate
The Early Grade Reading in Developing Countries (EGR) Graduate Certificate is a fully-online, university-accredited program designed for practitioners and policymakers working around the globe and those planning to pursue careers designing and assessing early grade reading projects in developing countries. The EGR certificate is a non-degree program, but offered through the International Education program at UMass Amherst. Our faculty are renowned for their work in Early Grade Reading, and help create a community of practice with students as collaborators.
Students are welcome to take individual courses or can choose to complete all five courses to earn the graduate certificate. All courses are 12 weeks in length, and asynchronous, offered fall, spring and summer. Assignments can be conveniently completed each week at one’s own pace. Credits from a completed certificate can be applied to the International Education M.Ed. or Ph.D. at UMass Amherst.
