Yokaira López-Tifa

Dr. Yokaira López-Tifa is an educator and researcher with 15 years of experience teaching and supporting students from preschool through college in Puerto Rico and Massachusetts. She earned her doctorate in Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has taught university courses in bilingual education, literacy, and teacher preparation while mentoring future educators in K–12 classrooms. Her diverse experience includes work in elementary, special education, and dual-language settings, with a focus on supporting multilingual learners. In addition to her teaching and leadership experience, she is committed to educational equity, culturally responsive instruction, and creating engaging learning opportunities that empower young people to thrive.
