Rebecca Levine

Postdoctoral research associate with the Education Collaboratory at the UMass Amherst College of Education. Trained as a clinical social worker, she partners with school districts and community organizations to improve student mental health and advance social and emotional learning. She has published original research on trauma-informed practices in schools, teacher preparation to address student mental health, and afterschool programs in low-income and refugee contexts, and she has co-designed and evaluated well-being programming for adolescents. With the Education Collaboratory, she supports and learns alongside schools and districts as they use Tools for Schools, an evidence-based suite of resources for improving school conditions, and she contributes to ongoing evidence synthesis work. She holds a PhD in Education from UC San Diego, a Master of Social Work from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Miami.
