Kysa Nygreen’s research examines the impacts of systemic racism and neoliberalism in schools, as well as movements for educational justice led by teachers, youth and/or community-based organizations. Grounded in educational anthropology and critical social theory, she uses ethnographic, participatory, and community-engaged research methods that center the knowledge of research participants and infuse action for change within the research process.
