Judy Raper, Ed.D. completed her undergraduate work at Indiana University where she majored in Elementary Education. Transformed by her experience out of the classroom (and particularly in residence life), she went onto pursue her M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration at the University of Vermont (UVM) and graduated in 1988. She returned to UVM in 1996 and completed her doctoral degree in 1999 in Leadership and Policy Studies with a focus on Higher Education. She wrote her dissertation on the religious and spiritual transformations that occur for students on secular campuses.
Areas of specialty and interest include; spiritual development, program design for students in recovery, diversity, equity and inclusion, community engagement and development, student development, entrepreneurship and program development for older adults.
