About
Dr. Amanda Ryan has been working in education since 1996, and she earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology at UMass Amherst in 2004. For the past two decades, Dr. Ryan has been conducting evaluations of students’ learning and social emotional needs and providing consultation to schools and families throughout Massachusetts. Dr. Ryan has extensive experience with conducting psychoeducational evaluations, and helping to inform students and their support teams about their strengths and needs as learners, so that they can maximize their potential and achieve their goals. Dr. Ryan has had a myriad of other roles conducting evaluations of social emotional behavior, planning academic and social emotional interventions, and working directly with children to provide social skills instruction. One of Dr. Ryan’s primary professional interests over the years has been working with educators to build effective school wide systems that support all learners to achieve academic and social emotional benchmarks. Through consultation and professional development, Dr. Ryan has helped dozens of educators to develop and implement multi-tiered systems of support, particularly in the areas of school-wide literacy and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
