The Department of Economics has instituted a program of undergraduate research assistantships in which current students majoring in Economics work with faculty members to gain valuable research assistant experience on research projects. The EURA program engages students in cutting-edge economics beyond the classroom. All EURAs receive academic credit.
Economics undergraduate majors interested in the EURA program initiate the process of securing an RAship. Students are responsible for first connecting with various faculty in Economics who specialize in shared areas of interest, and asking if the faculty member is available to sponsor an RAship. Economics faculty profiles can be found here. If a faculty member agrees to sponsor you, they will work out a prospective research project overview with you. At that point, the student would then submit the student application linked to below, and the faculty sponsor would submit the faculty application linked to below.
Refer to Guidelines for Economics Undergraduate Research Assistants.
Deadline
The deadline for spring 2025 semester EURAs is February 5th, 2025.
Contact
The director of the EURA program is Noe Weiner, whose office is located in 222 Gordon Hall. Email @email for additional information.
