Below you'll find a number of helpful resources, though it is not exhaustive. Speak with an Economics Advisor if you'd like referral to a resource for a topic not listed here.

SBS Academic Dean's Office/Pathways Center

SBS Academic Deans also review petitions and give student permission for the following for all students who are primary majors in Economics or SBS:
- Petition for overload of credit (when you'd like to request taking more than the maximum credits allowed for the semester)
- Petition for a late withdrawal from a course after the last day to drop with a “W” (mid-semester date)
- Approval for third/last attempt at the same course
The SBS Academic Dean's Office/Pathways Center is also the home of our SBS Career and Professional Development center. SBS Career Advisors provide you with resources and specialized advising to support you wherever you are on your career-planning path. Whether you’re seeking an internship or starting to think about life after graduation, they're there to assist you in crafting a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. The LRC also provides students with general study skills tutoring focusing on topics like time management, organization, study strategies and more.
Center for Counseling and Psychological Health (CCPH)
UMass CCPH provides students with one on one formal or informal counseling, but also diagnostic services and skills and support groups. The Center also provides students free access to web based mental health support resources (Togetherall and Welltrack).
UMass Disability Services
UMass Disability Services provides support services and accommodations assistance to students with disabilities. Arranging for assistance with note taking and extra time for exams are examples of common accommodations, but programs are tailored to each student. Students with disabilities need to register with Disability Services, and it's recommended they do so upon admission to the University.
