Amherst ⟷ Newton Campus Shuttle
The Mount Ida Shuttle connects UMass Amherst and Mount Ida campuses, supporting UMass programs. This shuttle service is available to UMass community members and operates Monday through Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters. Vans depart twice daily from both campuses for reserved riders. Limited service is available during the Summer session. The shuttle is operated by Valet Park of America, look for their branded vehicles at pickup spots.
The Mt. Ida Shuttle will run limited service on December 18th and 19th and will not run during the Winter session. The shuttle resumes service January 29th.
Reservations
- Reservations are approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Requests must be submitted by noon on the previous business day and at least 24 hours in advance for morning trips.
- You will receive a confirmation email once your request is approved.
- Be prepared to show your UMass ID to confirm your reservation before boarding.
As of October 27th, the deadline to cancel next-day trips is 5pm.

Baggage: The shuttle is intended for commuter use and storage space is limited. Please keep baggage to a small overnight bag or smaller. If you have any concerns, reach out in advance
Online Reservations using Bookings will be populated a week at a time, 2 weeks in advance. For example, shuttles the week of September 15 to September 19 will be available for reservations by 5pm on Monday, September 1st.
