Sustainability Fellowship Program

Join our Facilities Management Sustainability team, earn academic credits, receive hands-on experience working with campus staff, and gain valuable career oriented professional knowledge and skills in organizational management, systems-change, and sustainability operations.

The Fellowship Program is full for fall '24 semester.  More information on how to apply to the program can be found on the Academics page.

Bike Share is Here and we Need Student Ambassadors

The Valley Bike share program is seeking UMass students to serve as Student Ambassadors to help promote the program at community events, available student discounts, the benefits of bike share, and to get more students riding!  Perks include free rides, merch, and more.  Contact isabel@dropmobility to sign up!

Student organizations collage doing sustainability activities

The Student Sustainability Coalition

The Student Sustainability Coalition acts to serve as a space for students to communicate about and collaborate on projects pertaining to sustainability. We aim to act as an overarching centralized organization elevating the student voice and coordinating efforts of student initiatives in sustainability. We welcome anyone to join our coalition. Below are our Spring 2025 meeting dates:

Meet the 2024-2025 SGA Secretaries of Sustainability

Carol is excited to be SGA's Secretary of Sustainability, and this year intends to focus on establishing the Student Sustainability Coalition. Aside from SGA, Carol is a UMass Women into Leadership board member and UMass extension Climate Outreach intern.

Liana is excited to support the ongoing efforts being made to make sustainability more accessible to students and hopes to bring greater awareness to the sustainability related projects happening on campus. Besides her role in SGA, Liana brings her experience as an intern for Berkshire Regional Planning Commission where she gained experience in community engagement and local government collaboration.
