UMass Amherst Earns Green Grounds 'Gold' Certification
UMass Amherst earned Gold level certification from the Re:wild Your Campus (RYC) Green Grounds program for its grounds maintenance practices. The certification recognizes colleges and universities where at least 90 percent of managed areas are maintained without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
