SBS Researchers Awarded IDS Seed Grant
Content
The Institute for Diversity Sciences (IDS) has awarded a seed grant to Seth Goldman, communication, Tatishe Nteta, political science, and Linda Tropp, psychological and brain sciences. The $15,000 grant will support their project, "Understanding Change in How People of Color Respond to Narratives of Rising Diversity."
IDS is a multidisciplinary unit bringing together faculty and students from UMass Amherst and the Five Colleges to promote research that targets topics related to social justice and promotes the success of diverse students in STEM. Their mission is to advance understanding of social issues by supporting research that integrates multiple disciplines, investigates inequities, and designs and tests evidence-based solutions. Each year, IDS awards three or four research grants to teams working on cross-department projects.
The 2023 Request for Proposal period is now closed. However, if you are interested in learning more about IDS Seed Grants and RFP requirements for the 2024 application cycle, please visit the IDS website.
