Tatishe Nteta, political science and Director of UMass Poll, Jesse Rhodes, political science and Co-Director of UMass Poll, and Adam Eichen, a graduate student in political science, recently co-authored an opinion piece for Newsweek focused on the potential effects of racism on the upcoming presidential election. The authors analyzed data collected from a recent survey on the racial attitudes of a sample of voters in the U.S.
"Ninety-one percent of white people with low racial animus indicated they will vote for Harris, while eighty-eight percent of white people with high racial animus said they will vote for Trump," write the trio.
