Grad School Workshop Recording: Fall 2022
Have questions about graduate programs in psychology? Well we want to answer them! PBS faculty member Erik Cheries will discuss different graduate programs, strategies for applying, and other important details for anyone thinking about pursuing psychology or social work after graduation.  Join the discussion in person or via Zoom.  A recording of the workshop will also be available after the event.

Senior Meeting Recording: Fall 2022
If you are planning to graduate next February or May of 2023, you will benefit from attending the Senior Meeting.  We will be providing you with information related to your Psychology graduation requirements and will discuss opportunities for your last semester, career exploration and beyond  You will have a chance to review your SPIRE ARR with an advisor individually, after the meeting concludes to make sure you are on track to graduate!

Internship Overview Recording: Spring 2023

Getting Involved in Research Recording: Spring 2023
Interested in getting involved in research in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences?  Looking for ways to connect with faculty mentors and build your resume?  Just curious about what happens in labs behind the scenes of a SONA experiment?  This workshop will guide you through the process of searching for and applying to labs, the benefits of undergraduate research, and specialized programs to support your research involvement at UMass and beyond.  Dr. Astheimer will host an expert panel including current and former undergraduate research assistants and lab staff who will share their experiences and advice and answer all of your questions.

External Workshops

These workshops are opportunities for students to speak to recruiting companies about employment. You should also check with Career Services, since they offer several career fairs including the "Career Blast" which is the largest on-campus career fair in western Massachusetts. Over 130 employers who have internships, co-ops, or full-time positions will be there. Open to all-level students. Professional dress is expected.

The Department of Psychology at Michigan State University will be hosting virtual webinars for students interesting in applying to the PhD program.  There are sessions representing our different areas of concentration.  MSU offers graduate training in behavioral neuroscience, cognition and cognitive neuroscience, clinical science, ecological/community psychology, organizational psychology, and social/personality psychology.
