Welcome to the Psychological and Brain Sciences (PBS) Department!
We have a team of advisors excited to meet with you during new student orientation. During the session we will help you select courses for your first semester at UMass. We will also answer any questions you have about the major.
BEFORE MAKING YOUR COURSE REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT PLEASE:
In June/January you will receive an email that will invite you to make a VIRTUAL advising appointment.
Summer appointments will take place Mid-June through late July. For students starting in spring semester, appointments happen in January.
During that appointment you will REGISTER FOR YOUR FIRST SEMESTER COURSES.
PLEASE be sure to follow instructions in your appointment invitation email and review all the materials on this website prior to your appointment.

Completing these steps will help streamline your time with us and to help us select the best possible courses for your first semester at UMass. If you are unsure what courses to take, do not worry, we will have recommendations for you when we meet with you. Please bring your questions!
