Academic Advising

Make an appointment

  • Log in to Navigate to make an advising appointment using your campus NetID and password.
  • Learn more about how to make an appointment on Navigate.
  • The optional comments you make when creating an appointment will be saved as part of your academic records.

Cancel an appointment

  • If you need to cancel an appointment that you have made, go to Navigate, click on Make an Advising Appointment, log in, find your Upcoming Appointments on the right side. Open the appointment and find the Cancel link.
  • Your advisor will receive notice that you have canceled the appointment.

  • If no appointments are available or you have any trouble scheduling your appointment online, please call the CNS Student Success Center at 413-545-1969 for assistance.

  • In Handshake, click Career Center, then Appointments. Click into the appointment itself and use the options to cancel or reschedule the appointment.

Pre-Med/Pre-Health Advising

First-year students

  • Information about pre-med, pre-dent, pre-PA, etc. is available through Peer Advising. Make an appointment with a PreMed/PreHealth Peer Advisor through Navigate.
  • Additionally, sign up for the pre-med/pre-health newsletter to get more information.
  • First-year pre-med/pre-health students with other questions (personal issues, academic struggles, major decisions, etc.) should see their major advisor. You will be directed to the appropriate location for that advisor in the Navigate system.
  • FIRST YEAR/FIRST FRIDAYS will be offered on the first Friday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm in Shade Tree Lab. Find exact dates on the First Year Students Page.

Sophomore, Junior, Senior PreMed/PreDent/PrePA Students

  • Information about pre-med, pre-dent, pre-PA, etc. is available by appointment. Make an appointment with a PreMed/PreHealth Professional Advisor through Navigate.

Alumni PreMed/PreDent/PrePA

  • Alumni who need to speak with an advisor about medical school, dental school, or other health professions programs should email a pre-health advisor directly to arrange for a phone or Zoom appointment.
