Jennifer Normanly

Research Summary

Along with campus colleagues, I am a steward of a plant cell culture collection that is a discovery platform for new molecules with industrial, pharmaceutical, and agricultural applications. This collection is maintained and distributed to the research community by the Institute for Applied Life Sciences Cell Culture core facility.

I am Director of UMass ADVANCE, an interdisciplinary campus collaboration aimed at developing systemic and sustainable approaches to advance equity for all campus faculty.

I am a member of the leadership team funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Inclusive Excellence Program to increase institutional capacity for inclusion of all science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) majors.
