Update Monday, 9/15, 8 p.m.:
As of 8 p.m. on Monday, 9/15, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) has completed scheduled maintenance to address network connectivity issues that began last Wednesday, September 10, 2025 and to restore full availability of the eduroam wireless network on campus.

Update Monday, 9/15, 3 p.m.:
As shared yesterday evening, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) has identified the cause of the ongoing eduroam network connectivity issues that began last Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
UMass Amherst IT is now in receipt of the required hardware to resolve network connectivity issues and restore full availability of the eduroam wireless network on campus.
Our network team is currently configuring and testing the new equipment. The switchover to the new hardware will take place this evening, Monday, 9/15, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We do not anticipate any impact to eduroam availability during this maintenance window.
Thank you for your continued patience. We remain committed to restoring full and stable network connectivity across campus as soon as possible.

Update Sunday, 9/14, 7:10 p.m.:
As of Saturday, September 13, UMass Amherst IT has identified the cause of the eduroam network issues that began on Wednesday, September 10. We are currently working with the manufacturer to expedite replacement of the necessary hardware to resolve the intermittent connectivity lapses.
We will provide further updates as soon as we have more information regarding the timing of the installation of the replacement hardware this week. Updates will also continue to be posted in the news section of the IT website.
Please be aware that until the hardware is replaced, campus community members may continue to experience intermittent connection disruptions on the eduroam network.
We understand the disruption this has caused and appreciate your continued patience as we work to resolve this issue. We are committed to restoring full and stable network connectivity across campus as quickly as possible.
