HFA Mid-Career Post-Tenure Fellowship

The MCPT supports research contributing to faculty promotion to the rank of Full Professor. The fellowship awards a one-semester release from teaching and service obligations to faculty whose progress on scholarly or creative work needed for promotion to the rank of Professor may have been slowed due to unusually heavy service and teaching responsibilities. The award provides a one-semester release from teaching and service obligations.  Funding for the MCPT Fellowship will be provided by the recipient’s home department.

Eligibility

Faculty members who have held the rank of Associate Professor for a minimum of five years at the time of application and who are working on a scholarly or creative project for promotion to the rank of Professor may apply.

Application Procedure and Deadlines

Faculty who apply to the Office of Faculty Development’s Mid-Career Post-Tenure Fellowship (MCPT) are automatically considered for the HFA fellowship.  OFD's application deadline is Tuesday, 11/12/24.  Please visit the OFD MCPT web page for application instructions.

HFA will notify faculty of HFA awards approximately one month after the Office of Research and Engagement issues notifications.
