Content
For the past three years, then Department of Architecture has offered two 4-credit introductory studios—Arch 100 and 101—to Boston Public School students and recent alums.
The studios, offered in partnership with the non-profit Digital Ready, a Boston-based non-profit that builds academic and job market pathways for underrepresented students.
To date, approximately 60 students have taken these studios which introduce the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, and planning.
The department is planning to expand these offerings to include a complete 2-year curriculum that can be transferred to UMass Amherst or similar institutions.
