Barbara Bausch is a literary scholar at the Cluster of Excellence Temporal Communities. Doing Literature in a Global Perspective at Freie Universität Berlin. She is the author of Spielformen der Störung on forms of disruption in neo-avantgarde prose writing (2024) and co-editor of the 1927 cycle of poems Akrobat by Vítezslav Nezval (2021), as well as of the volume Standortbestimmungen, which examines strategies of self-positioning in contemporary political writing (2025). 

Her current project investigates reading as an aesthetic practice both theoretically and by means of exploratory collaborative formats. The first results can be explored in the volume Illegibilities Reflecting Reading (2025).
