How did you find a sense of community and belonging at CHC and UMass? What experiences or resources helped you feel connected and supported? 

Getting involved on campus was key to feeling like a part of the UMass and CHC community. Whether it was yoga classes at the Rec, CHC community events, or forging relationships with my professors, connecting with people has been vital to feeling connecting to this campus and college.

What advice would you give to incoming students? 

My advice for incoming students is to prioritize self care and well-being. While a new campus and community can be exciting with the boundless opportunities it may offer, it can also be overwhelming. Take your studies seriously and join organizations that interest you, but be careful not to spread yourself too thin. Put yourself first, and the rest will fall more seamlessly into place.
