About

Complete an internship in Boston

Through our partnership with the Semester in the City program, Education students have the opportunity to participate in a 15-week semester in Boston, Massachusetts.

Students spend 30 hours a week working in an internship with a social change organization within a nonprofit business or in a public sector field. The program places students in an internship aligned with their interests, whether that focuses on criminal justice reform, education, gender equality, environmental sustainability, or another topic. Every placement is unique to the student, and each fellow will have a dedicated mentor to help them thrive.

A Semester in the City internship can open doors for you as you think about your future and career path. Students who complete the program gain invaluable experience, grow their professional voice and communication skills, and benefit from real-world experiences and mentorship.

  • Students earn 16 credits for the semester that count toward the Community Education and Social Change major.
