The College of Education's Dr. Katrina Calhoun and Lecturer Miranda Wang-Doyle were recently awarded with a UMass’ 2025-26 Mutual Mentoring Grant.
The Mutual Mentoring Grant Program, led by the Office of Faculty Development, aims to assist faculty and librarians who want to work on professional development through non-traditional mentorships. Mutual mentorships are non-hierarchical, and rely on collaborative exchanges of knowledge and experiences to create mutually beneficial relationships between partners.
Team grants are awarded to four-person teams to conduct a mutual mentoring project; microgrants are awarded to individuals for a mentoring project.
Dr. Calhoun, Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Policy, Research, and Administration and leader of the EDUC Faculty of Color Research and Networking Collaborative, received the team grant award. Miranda Wang-Doyle, lecturer in the Department of Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies, received the microgrant.
