1. Register for a RAP.

  • First-year students can register for a RAP during Priority RAP Registration beginning at 9:00am Monday, May 19 through  11:59pm Wednesday, May 21. 
    • First-year students can rank their top five RAP choices in the RAP Placement System.
      • A link for the RAP Placement System will be posted on this website when Priority RAP Registration begins.
    • Changes to preferences can be made until the end of Priority RAP Registration
    • You will receive an email notifying you of your RAP placement at the end of May.
    • Any remaining unfilled RAP spaces at the end of Priority RAP Registration will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 9:00am on Sunday, June 1 through 11:59pm Tuesday, July 1.
  • Transfer Students can register for Transfer RAPs on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 9:00am on Sunday, June 1 through 11:59pm Tuesday, July 1.

After registering for a RAP, students can choose to share their contact information with other students in the same RAP, drop the RAP, or join another RAP until the end of their Advising and Course Registration Appointment or July 1, whichever comes first. 


2. Enroll in the required RAP course over the summer. 

If there is a conflict between a RAP course and an academic major requirement, students will need to cancel their RAP registration. 

Students cannot make changes to their RAP registration after they’ve met with their academic advisor. 


3. Sign the Residence Hall Occupancy License and Submit the Preference Application on SPIRE by July 1.
