Sharrow Featured in Award-Winning Sports Documentary

Elizabeth (Libby) A. Sharrow, Associate Professor of History and Public Policy and Director of Faculty Research at the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR), is a key interview subject in The Herricanes, a documentary about the history of the National Women's Football League. Widely lauded on the 2023 film festival circuit, the film will see release in select theaters beginning in October 2024.
Sharrow is the co-author of Equality Unfulfilled: How Title IX’s Policy Design Undermines Change to College Sport (Cambridge University Press), which was awarded the 2024 Gladys M. Kammerer Award from the American Political Science Association for the best book on U.S. national policy, and the 2024 Outstanding Book Award from the Society of Professors of Education of the American Educational Research Association.
In 2024, Sharrow led the creation of a major report for the Women's Sports Foundation, Play to Lead: The Generational Impact of Sports on Women's Leadership. They also currently hold a Distinguished Lectureship with the Organization of American Historians.
