They also offer CPR trainings to the campus community. Their services are free of charge to patients, and their funding comes mainly from SGA funding. Organization website: UMEMS. To become a licensed EMT in Massachusetts, find trainings here.

UMass Vision Care Club

The Vision Care Club welcomes all who are interested in vision and eye care, giving students an opportunity to learn about this career area. Through this club, students can get involved in the field, build their resumes, and learn about admission into graduate schools. Vision Care Club is currently unavailable.

Pre-med/pre-health peer advisors

Peer advisors are upperclassmen who dedicate time to helping first-year students select courses and who coach them in both succeeding academically and becoming competitive applicants for health professions schools. Peer advisors are recruited in the spring semester. Those selected go through extensive training in the fall semester, taking a course and shadowing pre-health advisors. They then hold office hours from mid-fall through the spring semester.
