Early research focused on trauma.  My social-psychological perspective is presented in Shattered Assumptions: Towards a New Psychology of Trauma.  

More recent work has focused on morality.  In my work I have attempted to map the moral domain and in particular understand distinct forms of morality (e.g., "shoulds" versus "should nots"), differences between fairness and social justice, and the moral underpinnings of political ideologies.
