Lara Roach

Lara Roach is the Director of Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Success and Diversity. She works to strengthen the recruitment, retention, and success of CNS graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, particularly those from underrepresented and historically marginalized backgrounds.

Her personal experiences navigating higher education in STEM as a white, Hispanic and queer woman inform her work in student success and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Roach has a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from UCLA and a Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University.
