Artist and Professor Shona Macdonald Serves as Visiting Artist at Louisiana State University

Professor of Art Shona Macdonald was selected as a visiting artist for the School of Art at Louisiana State University (LSU), in Baton Rouge, LA, from Sept. 12-14.
As part of her visit, Macdonald conducted studio visits with graduate students and a workshop with undergraduate drawing students. Macdonald was invited by LSU Professor of Painting Kelli Scott Kelley, and has been a visiting artist at more than fifty institutions.
Macdonald received her MFA in 1996 in studio arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her BFA in 1992 from Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Known both nationally and internationally, her work has appeared in solo shows from New York to New Zealand and in numerous group shows across the United States, UK, Australia, and Canada.
The recipient of grants and fellowships in the US and Europe, Macdonald is currently Professor of Studio Art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and formerly Associate Professor at Illinois State University, where she taught from 1998 until 2006.
