2023 HFA Senior Recognition Ceremony to be Held May 27

The 2023 College of Humanities & Fine Arts Senior Recognition Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Recreation Center. Students may RSVP here.

The Senior Recognition Ceremony is an event honoring HFA graduating seniors and their guests where we honor our students in a more personalized way. Graduates have their names announced as they walk across the stage and receive special commemorative medals from the college leadership. Professional photographers capture the moment with a photo of the student and their department chair. There is also an opportunity for students to have their individual pictures taken.

This event happens in addition to the University Commencement, which is UMass Amherst’s large, campus-wide graduation ceremony held at McGuirk Stadium. It is held for all graduating undergraduate and graduate students from all colleges.

Full details for the ceremony—including parking instructions, who can walk in the ceremony, information for guests, and a livestream link—will be available in April.
