An introduction to modern standard Japanese, designed to help students to develop basic skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. No prerequisites.

This is a fully online, asynchronous class where students are expected to complete assigned work from Monday to Friday in order to stay up-to-date with the course curriculum. The objective of the course is to learn introductory Japanese and develop skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will have the opportunity to communicate with the instructor via Zoom for conversation tests and weekly check-ins.
